Juventus look to finalize incredible swap deal with Barcelona
Barcelona and Juventus are planning a swap deal involving two youngsters. As both the European giants have decided to exchange talents.
Calcio Mercato reports that the relationship between Barcelona and Juventus is growing stronger and stronger every month. The Italian side has decided to focus on the youth during the January transfer market, which is evident with the recent signing of Dejan Kulusevski from Atlanta.
Reputed reporter Fabrizio Romano believes that the Serie A giants are planning an exchange deal with the Catalans in order to trade talents in the coming days.
Juve is reported to be interested in Barca B forward Alejandro Marques, who has made 11 appearances so far this season, but they know that the Spanish champions will be hesitant of letting one of their future talents leave.
For that purpose, the Italian club is willing to propose a swap between youngster Matheus Pereira and Marques. Pereira is a Brazilian international who is currently on loan with French side Dijon.
The 21-year-old made 22 appearances for the U23 Juventus squad, scoring 5 and assisting 5 more in the process. He also managed to play for 90 mins spread across 3 matches, for the first-team squad before being loaned out to Dijon where he has been a regular with 10 appearances.
Blaugrana is reportedly interested in the player and the Bianconeri are planning to use this to finalize a swap for Marques. With the Spaniard’s contract expiring in the summer of 2020, Barca now have the option to evaluate this offer; either trade for Pereira or risk losing the teenager for free in a few months.
